Routes (Still working)               Northern              Southern

Knowing the USSVI Convention starts in Norfolk, VA on the 2nd of Sept 2012 and our special SSMC meeting is at 15:30 on the 5th of September, many of us are planning to arrive at the Norfolk Westside Marriott Hotel on the 4th, the question is…how do we get there ? Being motorcycle riders, there is one way: We will ride. The question is: if this DBF Subvet who qualified in 1959 can ride over 3300 miles from Seattle to Norfolk why can’t you? Alright, I am retired and do not worry about getting back to work.

For all of you members who want to join us to ride to our first SSMC convention next September, we are planning two different west coast to east coast routes, the northern and southern routes. One of the options you can look at if you cannot ride all the way is to meet us and ride along with the SSMC riders for a couple days, the more the better.

Bill Linn from the Washington CASCADE Chapter is putting together the northern and Ross Myrehn from the SUGUARO Chapter in Arizona, the southern route. Please contact Bill or Ross if you have any questions or suggestions. After the 15th of January 2012 they will lock in routes and then you will start seeing info on motels.

There still may be changes to both routes. I know the northern route ends in Richmond, VA and we will be adding the additional 100 miles to Norfolk, but that will be shown later, we are also looking into the two groups meeting and riding into Norfolk together.

We are giving you plenty of time to plan and schedule this trip and hoping to have an excess of 150 SSMC riders in Norfolk…the more the better.
